NTA Broadcaster, Cyril Stober Finds Love Again, Quickly Marries Her
Veteran NTA broadcaster, Cyril Stober, who served and retired from service in 2015, has found love again and the lucky lady is also NTA broadcaster, Elizabeth Banu. CRIME NEWS: EFCC Boss, Lamorde sues Daily Sun Newspaper for N1 billion
Chairman of Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,
EFCC, Ibrahim Lamorde, has sued the Daily Sun Newspapers for N1 billion
over an alleged defamatory story the media organisation wrote against
him. Lamorde instituted the case at the Federal High Court
sitting in Abuja through Festus Keyamo, his counsel. According to the
statement of claim filed by Keyamo, the plaintiff is claiming the sum of

MEDIA NEWS: Despite Money Made From Election Advert, AIT Owes Workers 1 Year Salary

Scores of
workers of Daar Communications Plc, operator of African Independent
Television (AIT) and Raypower FM Radio, on Wednesday shut down all
broadcasting activities at the Benin studio in protest over unpaid
salaries. The protesting workers were said to have blocked the main entrance to the station located along the Benin/Lagos bypass. A detachment of anti-riot policemen were however called by the management of the station to forestall any break down of law.

Security officials attached to Muhammadu Buhari have barred African Independent Television (AIT) from covering the functions of the president-elect till further notice. Buhari Clamps Down On AIT. The security team according to Punch cited security reports and ethical issues as reasons for their action.The directive which took effect on Monday, April 27, was enforced when members of AIT crew, who were at the Defence House to cover of a meeting between Buhari and a visiting Cuban delegation, were asked to leave.

MEDIA WAR: Daily Times Newspaper Threatens To Sue PREMIUM TIMES NEWS Over Use Of Brand Name

The management of Folio Communications Limited, owners of Daily Times of Nigeria Plc, have threatened to drag online news portal, Premium Times to court over the use of the word 'Times' in its brand name. According to a letter sent to Premium Times management, the solicitors to Folio Communications Limited, Elias Mordi & Co, cautioned Premium Times to desist from using the word 'Times', adding that Daily Times has since inception enjoyed goodwill from people who have come to know it with the word 'Times.

FIRE OUTBREAK: Studio Section of AIT Burnt Down by Mystery Fire

We’ve just been informed that all is not well with African Independent Television. The Television station known mostly for it’s controversial political sponsored programmes could be facing an attack by people from the underworld. According report which was made available to Edeson Online News Desk, Fire broke out this morning in the studio area at the Africa Independent Television, AIT, in Alagbado, Lagos. The cause of fire is not yet known but it has been put out by the fire service and members of staff of the TV station. Damage to the property is currently being assessed.
No casualties or injuries recorded.

POLITICS/MEDIA: Buhari to Sue AIT, NTA over Hate Broadcasts
The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), has vowed to take legal action against the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) except they apologise over the hate broadcast against him. He has also asked the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) and National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), to investigate the NTA and African Independent Television (AIT), hate broadcasts and take necessary punitive actions.Buhari lodged the protest through the Director, Legal APC Presidential Campaign Council, Chukwuma-Machuk wu Ume (SAN).
