Lil Peep, a fast-rising rapper whose emotional tracks charted depression and drug use, has died aged 21 while on tour in Arizona. Gustav Åhr (November 1, 1996 – November 15, 2017), better known by his stage name Lil Peep, was an American singer and rapper. His songs "White Wine",
"Benz Truck", and "The Way I See Things" have each gained over 4 million views on YouTube.
In 2015, Åhr released his first mixtape, Lil Peep Part One, to limited success.
Åhr died on November 15, 2017, before a concert at The Rock in Tucson, Arizona. Detectives of the Tucson Police Department found evidence which suggests "that the rapper died of an overdose of the anti-anxiety medication Xanax".
