Femi Falana Begs Ambode Not To Order The Execution of Rev. King

Human rights lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), has asked Lagos Governor Akinwunmi Ambode not to order the execution of Rev. King and other inmates and urged him to "covert" their sentences from death penalty to life imprisonment.

Falana argued in his letter dated April 19, 2017 and addressed to Ambode that the planned execution of death row inmates in the state would violate a subsisting judgment delivered in 2012 by the High Court of Lagos State which ruled that it was illegal and unconstitutional to execute condemned inmates.
In 2016, The Supreme Court okayed the convicted General-Overseer of the Christian Praying Assembly, Chukwuemeka Ezeugo, a.k.a Rev. King to die by hanging for the alleged murder of his church member, Ann Uzoh.
Falana's plea comes barely a week after the Attorney General of Lagos state, Mr. Adeniji Kazeem, said unlike previous administrations, Ambode would sign the necessary documents to execute those on death row in the state.

He killed someone,an innocent person, with fire.he was probably trying to stop her frm exposing him! Evil demon! I think his followers should be jailed too! Evil man!

@Probity: You are right. But he will rather remain in prison than to die by hanging. Like Eboigbe rightly said, when there is life there is hope. A new govt can decide to pardon all the inmates in a particular prison irrespective of their case.
