of Rivers will supply their candidates with weapon to help of them win the battle.
The two elephants are: the camp of former Rivers governor, Rt. Hon Rotimi Amaechi, and the camp of Chief Nyesom Wike, the present Governor of the state. These two men are not just political enemies but from the look of things their bone of contention also seems personal.
Although, this time, the two elephants are not directly contesting but their "boys" are. Today, Saturday, December 10, 2016 Rivers State citizens will vote for those who will occupy the State and National Assembly seats that were declared vacant by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The election spread across the three senatorial districts: Rivers West, Rivers East and Rivers South-East.
Governor Peter Odili with the PDP Senate candidate, Mr. Osinakachukwu Ideozu and the state chairman of the party, Bro. Felix Obuah are the major influence for PDP in Rivers West Senatorial Districts while for APC is former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives
For Rivers East Senatorial District, the key players for the PDP are: Dr. Abiye Sekibo, Sergeant Awuse and Prince Emma Anyanwu While APC will flaunt its wings with Chief Glory Emeh who served as Chief of Staff to former Governor Celestine Omehia, and the state secretary of the party, Chief Emeka Bekeis. It may interest you to know te Rotimi Amaechi and Nyesom Wike are from this senatorial district.
For Rivers South-East, former PDP acting national chairman, Prince Uche Secondus and Senator Lee Maeba will decide the victory for the PDP while APC will flaunt Dr. Davies Ikanya, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, the immediate past governorship candidate of the party.
The Question now is: which party will win this election today?
