Ghana Presidential Election: LIVE UPDATES Who will win, Mahama or Akufo-Addo?

After nearly two years of strenuous political campaign and rancor, Ghanaians will today December 7, 2016 elect a new president, renewing the mandate of sitting president, John Dramani Mahama or choosing legal
luminary Nana Akufo-Addo, whose campaign has centered on job creation and provision of quality education for the Ghanaian people.

The winner will inherit a restless nation, an economy that has exceeded its borrowing target for years and dependent on the benevolence of other countries and international institutions.
Out of 17 presidential candidates including an independent candidate who submitted their nomination forms to the Electoral Commission (EC), only seven candidates were able to make it on the EC’s list.
These are President John Dramani Mahama of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) and Dr. Edward Nasigri Mahama of the People’s National Convention (PNC).

The rest are Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Ivor Kobina Greenstreet of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) and Jacob Osei Yeboah, an Independent Candidate.
What makes today’s elections special is the fact that it is the first time a woman in the person of the former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings is contesting in the country’s presidential election.
The two top contestants are: John Dramani Mahama of NDC and Nana Addo of NPP. Who do you think will win?

@adesina: i am an advocate of political idealism. partaking in the politics of other countries goes a long way in building and directing our national affairs.

Yeah I am and By God's grace Nana is winning. The election is going on well just that we have noticed some minor issues with people from the incumbent party lifting our ballot boxes.

Endy Edeson

@yaw: hope the police and security agencies are doing their job as regards that. @boako: wow! another Nana. from the look of things here, Nana is quite a popular name in Ghana.
