POLITICS: Buhari Suspends Tenure Policy In The Federal Civil Service -

Nigeria's president, Muammadu Buari has suspended the tenure policy in the Federal Civil Service, which prescribes 60 years of age and 35 years of service for the mandatory retirement.

President Buhari made this known in a circular to all Ministries Departments and Agencies, MDAs, by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita.
The tenure policy which was introduced by former Head of Service, Steve Oronsaye, prescribed two terms of four years each for permanent secretaries and an eight-year tenure for directors.
