In a move to make Lagos State a metropolitan city, the state
government has introduced a new modern buses which will replace and
phase out danfo and molues in the state. Danfo drivers are advised to
placing orders for the new buses before it will be too late for them. The State commissioner for transportation,
The commissioner said Lagosians would rather queue up to board buses at
cheaper rate than what the danfos would offer, thus, displacing them
economically, adding that some of the existing danfo drivers had already
keyed into the project.
He said the National Union of Road Transport Workers had already given government its support for the project.

to Lagos for this idea. If not for this idea, no one knows how
exploitative the danfo drivers are going to be. some years back, we
enter buses from Ketu to Ikorodu @ N300 but now it between N50 to N100
just because of LAGBUS and BRT. And training danfo drivers is not a way
out because those employed to drive LAGBUSes lack courtesy and maltreat
passengers
