I still remember back then when I used to play the song “Hero” by
Enrique Iglesias for my girlfriend anytime she visits me. The song
“Hero” was and is a Lovers Anthem. Any person in love knows the song.
There was a particular evening I and my girlfriend were dancing slowly,
hugging and kissing each other while the song “HERO” was playing. She
whispered into my ears “ Endy, Would you be my “HERO ? “. I replied her
“ of course baby, I will even stand by you forever”. That momentwas just so romantic. Unfortunately, I did not marry her, I later fell in love with another beautiful lady.
Enrique Miguel Iglesias was born on this day, 8 May 1975 in Madrid, Spain. He is the 3rd child of his parents. His father Julio Iglesais is a veteran Spanish musician. If you have watched the Mexican soap, “What Life Took From Me”. Enrique Iglesias sang the Theme song “Lo Que La Vida Mi Robo” for the movie. He became known for singing the number 1 hit "Be with You" in 2000 and "Hero" in 2001.
His mother is a Fillipino. Though his parents divorced in 1979 when he was only 3 years old. He is a Spanish singer, songwriter, record producer and actor. He is widely regarded as the King of Latin Pop. Iglesias has sold over 137 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling Spanish artists ever.
Enrique Iglesias studied business at the University of Miami, but dropped out to record his first album in Toronto, Canada. He singlehandedly pursued his music career despite the fact that his father is a successful musician in Spain. He didn’t want to ride on his father’s fame.
In 2001 Iglesias released his second English language album Escape. The album's first single, "Hero", became a number one hit in the United Kingdom, and in many other countries. The entire album was co-written by Iglesias.
