Niger State Governor, Malam Abubakar Sani Bello, in what appears to be a departure from tradition, has approved the appointment of a teacher as his Chief Press Secretary. He also appointed a special Assistant on timekeeping. The appointments, announced on Monday in Minna, the state capital, shows that Alhaji Shehu Umar Danyaya, a retired Civil Servant, is the new Secretary to the State Government, SSG, while a former member of the House of Representatives , Mikhail Al-Amin Bmitosahi, is the new Chief of Staff.
Others are Dr. Ibraheem Dooba, a teacher and a columnist with the Daily Trust as the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, while Haruna Mamman Vatsa and Yusuf Wali were appointed as as the Director of Protocol and Senior Special Assistant, Timekeeping and Schedule, respectively. These appointments are with immediate effect.

@eyindah: the man appointed for this position is not superhuman, to me, it's irrelevant. time-keeping should be an "instinctive" part of us. We don't need anyone to keep on telling us or reminding us all the time. we should know what to to at the right time.
