Don Jazzy, a music executive, has launched a tech scholarship program that offers young Nigerians up to 100% off tuition fees for technology courses.
The Mavin Records boss introduced the Don Jazzy Tech Scholarship 2027 on Monday, in partnership with TS Academy, a training school offering courses in various digital skills.
The available courses cover areas like artificial intelligence, automation, content creation, data analytics, cybersecurity, software development, digital marketing, product design, data science, virtual assistance, project management, product management, DevOps engineering, graphic design, and frontend and backend development.
The academy says most courses are beginner-friendly and don’t require prior technology experience.
Selected students can receive up to 100 per cent off their tuition, depending on the scholarship they receive, and also get a discount on the application fee.
The program also provides hands-on training, mentorship, internship opportunities, and help with finding jobs.
Selected students will also receive 50 laptops, and up to 500 students could get data support, depending on eligibility, need, and available resources.
TS Academy says the American Council of Training and Development has accredited it.
In a post announcing the initiative, Don Jazzy said beneficiaries could receive up to N447,000 off tuition fees.
He also encouraged young people to prioritise education and skill acquisition.
