Atiku Begs Buhari To Rescue Leah As Boko Haram Kills Aid Worker

A former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has charged the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government to immediately rescue the abducted Dapchi girl, Leah Sharibu, from the stronghold of Boko Haram terrorists before it is too late.

Atiku, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, made the call via his Twitter handle. The Adamawa-born politician was reacting to the killing of an aid worker, Hauwa Leman by the terrorist organisation. He said, “I’m deeply saddened by the murder of Hauwa Leman, an ICRC aid worker, by terrorists.

Boko Haram insurgents have fulfilled their threats of executing another aid worker, to keep Leah Sharibu as a slave for life.
The Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), a faction of Boko Haram, executed Hauwa Leman, an aid worker
with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and this was confirmed in a short clip seen by a special correspondent of TheCable.
The executed aid worker, was forced to kneel down, with her hands tied inside a white hijab which has a crest symbol, and then shot at a close range. Leman, a 24-year-old nurse was a student of health education at the University of Maiduguri and she was abducted in the attack, that left four soldiers, four policemen and three humanitarian aid workers dead.

Confirming the execution of the aid worker, ISWAP said;
“We have kept our word exactly as we said, by killing another humanitarian worker, Hauwa Leman, who is working with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) that were abducted during a raid on a military facility in Rann, Kala Balge in March 2018.
“Saifura and Hauwa were killed because they are considered as Murtads (apostates) by the group because they were once Muslims that have abandoned their Islam, the moment they chose to work with the Red Cross, and for us, there is no difference between Red Cross and UNICEF.
“If we see them, we will kill the apostates among them, men or women, and chose to kill or keep the infidels as slaves, men or women.”

Like four years ago the politics with this sorta thing won't end. That's the sad reality here.

Atiku gets in and someone else will play the same politics with something like this.

If you ask him how the girl should be rescued now then you'd meet a brick wall.

If he gives them money for their release, we criticise. If he goes into swap deal, we criticise. And if he couldn't rescue them, Haa... Nigerians...

Endy, what magic exactly? BH would magically disappear if he wins? So magic wands exist? He was a V.P for 8 years and was in charge of the economic policies then, he was in charge of the privatization then too which came to crap. He was also in the movie 3+ years ago that produced Buhari. These people have nothing to offer.

Omoyankky Ayomide Bosun it's all politics to these people. They will keep sounding the music so loud to make people think they can get the job done but in the end they won't. Why? Because they're politicians. You can't get political solutions to problems created by politicians. Not gonna happen

How did Atiku propose for the president to secure her release? I mean what meaningful thing did he say that would help do so? I'm sure he just said a serious president would've found a way. He wouldn't give a reasonable advice of how it should be done.

That's playing politics.

@jesse,you are not far from the truth, pmb made more noise over GEJ.today he(pmb)is handcaped! they get us so cheap because we dont ask relevant questions, when pmb was promising heaven on earth in 4years, no boby asked him, how are you going do it??? so am not moved by any promise, just think we should give someone else a chance!!

Daniel, I can live with that. I also want another man to get a chance but I won't play a part in that. It's a waste of time for me since I know my vote won't produce someone different. It's either Atiku or Buhari. That's what the system gives and will keep giving until something drastic happens.
