INEC Extends Voters’ Registration By Two Weeks

Image may contain: 1 person, sitting
The Independent National Electoral Commission has extended the Voters’ registration exercise by two weeks. The exercise which was supposed to end on August 17th will now last till August 31st.

There have been concern and public outcry over the need to extend the voters’ registration beyond the August 17 deadline given the constitutional requirement that the exercise be held not earlier than 60 days to the elections.

When they are charging people before registering them? This Nigeria; a country of the unimagineable! Good move by INEC.

@John: Really? Which INEC centre and how much are they charging?

John Asukwo

INEC office by Ikot Akpan Abia Police Station in Uyo. For replacement of lost card, #1000. And the rudeless INEC officials go in with as many person as they are bribed with and register them first, leaving the crowd in queue behind.
