Dog Named Chico Killed For Killing Its Owner And Her Son

A German dog named "Chico" has been euthanized (killed) after autopsy results showed it had mauled its owner and her son to death earlier this month. Animal euthanasia is the act of putting an animal to death or allowing it to die by withholding extreme medical measures.
However, a petition calling for authorities to stop the execution of the dog had received nearly 290,000 signatures.

Hanover city spokesman Udo Möller said euthanizing the dog was the only way forward due to its "aggressiveness." He noted that the canine had to be isolated in custody due to a "lack of socialization."

Chico's case wasn't the only dog mauling incident to shock the German public this month. Last week, a mixed-breed canine believed to be part Staffordshire Terrier was taken into custody after in connection to the death of a 7-month-old baby.

The deaths have fueled a public debate in Germany on whether dog owners should carry licenses, especially those in possession of potentially-dangerous canines.

Sum families der pet do misbhave bt cus of d love dey gat for der pet dey refused to tak d neccessary action against the pet until d pet now killed or destroyed live or property. @mr endy, i tink it a kind of awareness to oda pple wit such wild pet, report ur pet once u see anytin strange happenin. It still doesn't change d fact dat more ppl will die as a result of this and still more ppl will get pets, its actually as a result of 'out of control' of animals dat some breeds are banned in some countries...
