The meeting will include executives from Take-Two Interactive Software Inc, which owns “Grand Theft Auto,” and ZeniMax Media Inc, owner of “Doom.” Trump’s younger brother Robert Trump is on the board of ZeniMax, first reported by Bloomberg.
Trump, a Republican, has talked about the need to examine how violence in media affects children, after a 19-year-old gunman was accused of killing 17 people at a high school in Parkland, Florida and injuring more than a dozen others. Dan Hewitt, a spokesman for the Entertainment Software Association, a lobby group whose CEO will attend the White House meeting, said studies have established no connection between video games and violent conduct.
“Video games are plainly not the issue: entertainment is distributed and consumed globally, but the U.S. has an exponentially higher level of gun violence than any other nation,” Hewitt said in a statement.

I believe this is a good move, I don't personally know what their interactions might be, but the killings and street shootings have become rampant in America in recent times and these games that preach violence have a thing or two in this.

Come on... Y'all are really funny in thinking video games influenced d recent killings... Guys really?... Just to clear d air... Americans ain't d highest consumers of games... Japanese are, followed by d Russians, then America, maybe Canadian (not too sure of d Canada's own), then out of d consumers about 70% of 'em are adults... Apart from America, how many countries av suffered indecent killings? My opinion... License to arms should be reviewed and probably eliminated... Cuz most of this kids use their parents guns... Its not like they went to gun shops to buy 'em... Its their parents'... Kids play games in Nigeria too, av u heard of any killings like a kid went to sch with gun and shot his teacher and stuff like dat... LICENSE TO GUNS SHOULD BE REVIEWED AND ELIMINATED... @Conquer & Goodie: The funny thing with America is that is only when there is case of mass shooting that the issue of gun control will be at the front burner. Isn't there a way of stopping this once and for all. The killings are becoming too much. More so, the issue of mental health should be seriously examined in America. Lots of folks over there have mental problems. BUT Goodie, regardless of the points you raised this video games are a bit harmful for kids. There is a little boy where I used to live in port-harcourt. After watching Wrestlemania and other violent games, he start looking for who to practise it with. He was always talking of beating his peers
