Buhari Approves N6billion For Maritime University Take-Off

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the sum of N 6b for the effective takeoff of the Maritime University , Okerenkoko , Delta State . The amount comprise N 3b added to the initial N 2b earlier announced for the university , which has commenced operations , while N 1b is for staff recruitment, even as applications have been invited for academic staff.


The grant is included in the 2018 budget recently presented to the National Assembly, under the Federal Ministry of Education allocation .

Why always waiting for a situation to fester before embarking on emergency measures? The president had enough time to implement the agreement with the Niger Delta leaders last year. I advise the avengers to keep the pressure on FG in order to get at least 50% implementation of what was agreed upon.

It is an Ijaw affair? In which case, I withdraw my support. I thought if the Niger Delta is developed, the whole nation will benefit from it. But I am reading some minds like Bekere who insinuate the contrary.
