Barney & Friends is an American children's television series aimed at children. The first episode aired on April 6, 1992. The series features the title character Barney, a purple anthropomorphic tyrannosaurus rex who conveys educational messages through songs and small dance routines with a friendly, optimistic attitude. Production of new episodes originally ceased on September 18, 2009, a revival of the series is set for a 2017 launch.
Guess what guys? The Real Barney & Friends are coming to Abuja, Nigeria on Children's Day. African Independent Television (AIT) is set to bring Barney to Nigeria on Saturday , May 27, 2017. The event will hold at Funtaj International School hall, Abuja. Actress Funke Akindele is billed to make a guest appearance at the show. Comedian, Chuks D General will serve as the host. According to the organizers, gate fee is N5000 per child.
