Sweden Drops Rape Probe Against WikiLeaks Founder Julian Assange

WilkiLeaks founder, Julian Assange has been set free of rape charges by Swedish authorities. The Sweden's Director of Public Prosecution, Marianne Ny, stated that Sweden has decided to drop its investigation into rape allegations made against him. In 2010, Mr. Assange was accused of raping a lady without condom in Stockholm but he denied the claims, noting that the sex was consensual.
Today, he is no longer wanted in Sweden but he might be arrested if he enters United States. The 45-year-old Australian is also facing trial over the leaking of hundreds of thousands of secret military and diplomatic documents in United States.

He has been living inside the Ecuadorian Embassy in London for almost five years and has been granted political asylum. After Sweden freed him, focus shifted to whether Assange will attempt to fly to Ecuador to avoid extradition to America.
