Shock As Anthony Joshua beats Wladimir Klitschko

Anthony Joshua established himself as the new king of heavyweight boxing on Saturday at Wembley Stadium, surviving an explosive showdown to defeat Wladimir Klitschko with a TKO in front of more than 90,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.

Joshua, the 2012 Olympic champ, floored Klitschko in the fifth round and finished his rival in the 11th with two knockdowns before the fight was stopped.

"I'm a little bit emotional," Joshua said. "I dug deep. I'm only going to improve. Boxing is about character. When you go into the trenches, that's where you find out who you are."

Before now, many people warned Joshua not to fight Klitschko as they felt it was too early in his career to fight him. Today, the story is different. This tells us that we are all powerful, all we need is the right motivation to get to the top.

@Gontur: commentaries of him on radio and tv stations in Nigeria were ridiculous. Sports analysts were just mocking him not to fight Klitchsco. That what happened to Samuel Peters would happen to him

I argued with a radio presenter yesterday about Joshua. I was certain about this victory. Klitschko is old... He can't stand the energy of a 26 year old talented boxer like Joshua. It's a different things comparing this fight with that of Samuel Peters...

Jude, the radio presenters are latching on Samuel Peters disgrace when he fought Klitscho. I think by now people shouldn't look down on things that can be possible to happen

This was a case of youthful hue Versace old experienced. Believe me, it was experience that kept the game till 11th rounds, even one boxer analyst said that Joshua wanted to entertain the crowd that why he extended it to 11th rounds. I'm just happy 😊!
