Among those arrested was a professor, from whom a double-barrel gun, single-barrel gun and one pump action gun were recovered.
Reports say there had been distress calls from members of the university community that cult groups were unleashing horror, killing and beheading people in the area.
Police are still investigating the issues and has vowed to bring the perpetrators to book.

Fake news.... Am currently schooling at Ambrose Alli university and there is no such news circulating in d town...... No lecturer was arrested for cult related activities in AAU, d real info was dat some policemen gruesomely assulted a prof in law who happened to also be a dean, bcos he queried some policemen on y dey where assulting a student....D prof have since sued d NPF over 10million naira for damages and injuries afflicted on him.....
