Custom Boss May Be Kicked Out If He Fails To Appear Before The Senate

What is Impunity? It simply refers to the attitude of some high government officials that whatever they did with public funds, resources or in office was no man's business. What is Custom Duty? It is a tax imposed
on goods when transported across international borders. The purpose of Custom duty is to prevent restrictive and prohibited goods, into and out of the country amongst other reasons.

The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (rtd), has ordered that all vehicles in the country whose customs duties have not been paid should be done on or before April 12, 2017, in the nearest Customs zonal office, otherwise disciplinary measures will be taken against the owners of the vehicles.
The Senate has however asked the Comptroller General of the Nigerian Customs Service, Hameed Ali, to appear “unfailingly” in his “appropriate” uniform tomorrow over the service’s action against owners of vehicles not duly registered with the service.
In response, Hameed Ali told the Senate that he would not appear before the lawmakers on Wednesday as it coincides with the routine management of the NCS and that he will not wear the custom uniform as it’s not part of his job to wear uniforms.
Able bodied Senator, Dino Melaye (APC – Kogi) moved the motion to invite the Custom boss over refusal of the Customs to suspend the plan against vehicles without duty payment. An impeccable source who pleaded not to be mentioned told Edeson Online News that Custom boss, Hammed Ali may be ‘beaten’ and harassed by Dino Melaye himself if he fails to appear before the senate tomorrow. The question now is: Is the Custom boss acting under Impunity?

Nigeria, a play station.

The custom boss is not above the law and I still don't know why he thinks he can just wake up suddenly to give such directives. Nigeria is really a play station!!!
