Should Markafi Bow To Sherif & Allow Him Finish His Tenure By August 2017

Mr. Sheriff and Mr. Makarfi, former governors of Borno and Kaduna states respectively, have been engaged in a prolonged leadership tussle which has factionalised PDP and caused many of its leaders to decamp to
the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

The new National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Ali Modu Sheriff, on Monday met with former President Goodluck Jonathan at the ex-President’s Abuja home. Speaking with journalists after the meeting, Jonathan said the troubled party remained one, adding that there was no faction in it.
In reaction, the sacked National Caretaker Committee of the party, Ahmed Makarfi said it had appealed the Court of Appeal judgment which removed from him from office.

The court ruled that Mr. Sheriff and his executive cannot be removed until August 2017, except the party holds an election. The big question is: Should Markafi’s Faction of PDP Bow Down To Sherif & Allow Him Finish His Tenure By August, 2017 ?
