The world's 7th richest man and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg
arrived Nigeria yesterday August 30, 2016 without any prior notice. He
secretly arrived CC HUB in Yaba Area of Lagos State with intention to
support technology development in Nigeria and Africa.
Edeson Online News learnt that the 32-year-old businessman came unannounced for security reasons. As part of his visit, Facebook would unveil a ten-year roadmap that can help improve Nigeria’s economy.
At CcHub, Zuckerberg met with developers like Temi Giwa, who runs a platform called Life Bank that makes blood available when and where it is needed in Nigeria. Facebook is also set to launch cheap Expresswifi in lagos.
ExpressWifi is a new program that allow all internet users to purchase a data from a local service providers at a very cheap rate. Though this is not the first time Facebook will be doing this, it has already be launched in India.
Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg has said that he is in Nigeria to learn about the startup ecosystem in the country.
