HISTORICAL: Coincidental Facts that Might Surprise You about America Independence from Britain

America was colonized by Britain. On this day July 4, 1776, America gained Independence and ceased to be part of British Empire. Coincidentally, both John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, the only signers of the
Declaration of America’s Independence later served as Presidents of the United States, died on the same day: July 4, 1826, which was the 50th anniversary of the Declaration.
President, James Monroe, died on July 4, 1831, thus becoming the third President in a row who died on the holiday. Calvin Coolidge, the 30th America President, was born on July 4, 1872, and, so far, is the only U.S. President to have been born on Independence Day.
However, it should be noted that America gained independence through Revolution when it was tired of British Monarchy. Thirteen American Colonies rejected the British monarchy and aristocracy, overthrew the authority of Great Britain, and founded the United States of America.
It may interest you to know that Britain used to be the WORLD POWER but today America is the current World Power. Superpower is a word used to describe a state with a dominant position in international relations and which is characterised by its unparalleled ability to exert influence or project power on a global scale. This is done through the combined-means of technological, cultural, military and economic strength, as well as diplomatic and soft power influence. Traditionally, superpowers are preeminent among the great powers. The Suez Crisis in 1956, which ended the British Empire's status as a superpower, and the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991 left the United States as the world's only superpower. As of 2016, this status remains unchanged.
….
Happy Independence Day, America.

@adesuyi: i don't think so. America is still a religious country. THOUGH, christianity is gradually slowly down in the country but the percentage of christians is still on the high side, the last time i checked, about 70% of Americans are Christians
