The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has sacked its national chairman,
Modu Sheriff and appointed an interim party chairman, Ahmed Makarfi,
former governor of Kaduna State. The interim chairman will man the
affairs of PDP for 3 months before a substantive chairman will take
over.
The PDP took the decision today May 21, 2016 as part of efforts to resolve the crises the party is facing.
