President Buhari recently sacked the Vice Chancellors of 13
federal universities established by the Goodluck Jonathan
administration,For instance, it is only the Governing Council of National Open University of Nigeria that can sack the Vice Chancellor of the school; the president has no right to remove the VC. He even installed a northerner, Prof. Abdalla Uba Adamu of the Department of Mass Communication, Bayero University, Kano as the new vice chancellor
It should be noted that the president once
scrapped National Open University during his days as the military Head
of States. It was Olusegun Obasanjo that re-opened the institution. Why
would a Head of State shut down a good initiative such as National Open
University of Nigeria in the 1980’s and still attacked the institution
in 2016 as the civilian president by unlawfully removing a very
hardworking vice chancellor of the university. It shows the president is
always a bitter man when he sees the progress of his “Enemies”. Would
he have sacked the Vice Chancellor of National Open University of
Nigeria if he (Prof. Tenebe) is the husband of his (Buhari) political
ally, Aisha Alhassan, the woman he made Minister of Women Affairs.
I want to this platform to urge the president to reverse his unruly
decision of sacking Prof. Vincent Tenebe, a man who is working
assiduously in making National Open University a force to reckon with in
Nigeria. Tenebe is responsible for the sudden progress and popularity
of the university

Curbing the president excesses can be done in different ways depending
on your “TOOLS”. For me, one of the ways to curb his excesses is to
SCOLD him like a child whenever he does something wrong. Example of the
SCOLDING is this post. It’s a way of telling him or reminding him to be

voted change ba?..., let's understand something.., we voted apc at a
time Nigeria was literally tired of the excesses of pdp...,not that we
ever wanted to vote buhari.., it's was just a case of anything aside
pdp..., but in doing this we played into the hands of an old man with

what baba is busy doing. Let me remind u why did gej suddenly woke up
from his 6 years reign of terror at the twilight of his career now see
reason to upgrade underfunded college of education to university level.
After all he failed woefully to fund educational sector better than his
second teem agenda, and when he was installing the vc did he follow due
processes, and we were told by those who are in charge that their tenure
of service agewise has expired. Why feeling pity for professors who
have enriched their pockets at the detriment of the students at large.
