Aisha Buhari was born on February 17, 1971 in Adamawa State. She is a Fashion Designer and Beauty therapist.. Her grandfather, Alhaji Muhammadu Ribadu was Nigeria's first Minister of Defence She has a Bachelor Degree in Public Administration from Ahmadu Bello University and Masters Degree in International Relations. She married Buhari on December 2, 1989, their marriage is blessed with 5 children and One Grandchild.

On July 2014, She advised Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to resign from office as President of Nigeria, following a suicide bombing and an alleged assassination attempt on her Buhari.
