A woman who gave birth to conjoined twins in Enugu is reportedly facing stigmatization. Though, the woman and her husband have shown great hope despite birthing a set of conjoined twin girls. The parents of the conjoined twins said their baby is a blessing from God and are in good health. Mother of kids, Mary Ayeni said nurses, neighbours, friends and family
members have advised her to abandon
the twins but she and her husband,
Segun Ayeni have vowed to show love to the twins just like they would do
to any other child. Mrs. Ayeni said some people that heard she had
conjoined twins stopped greeting her. Some wouldn’t even talk talk to
her; some that used to collect things from her before now talk about her
in jest. They laugh. But God will take all the glory.
Doctor's report suggests that they are not sharing any vital organs and have high chances of survival.
They are not connected to anything (machine). They eat normally; they poo (defecate) and wee (urinate) normally because they have separate genitals and legs.
