THE Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), on Thursday, warned
prospective candidates in the forthcoming Unified Tertiary
Matriculation Examination (UTME) , to stop registering at cyber-cafes,
saying majority of the operators are fraudulent. It, therefore,
announced that it has approved computer-based centres in all the 36
states of Nigeria for registration of 2015 UTME. The administrative
officer in charge of the board, then warned the operators of the
cyber-cafes , who had made fraud their daily routine to, henceforth,
desist from such act or face the music.
According to him, “any
candidate, who defies this warning and registers at cyber-cafés, must be
ready to face the consequence. I, therefore, call on all the
prospective candidates not to register in any cyber cafe in order to
ensure the genuineness of their registration and avoid problems.”
He also explained that the 2015 UTME examination would purely be computer-based,He said the board had introduced new innovation into the system and under the new arrangement, special candidates such as visually impaired would be given five hours as against three hours during the their examinations.

crime to have education in this country? Ghana,Benin etc doesnt stress

three in a state per said, for the population of about 10,000 to 15,000
candidates in some state, how can they cope in writing the test? God

it
is the fault of the state governments. each secondary school is
required to have a functional computer lab. the world has changed a
lot... even in Nigeria, most private primary and secondary schools have
computer labs. we cannot continue to live in the past when the world has
been advancing. How much does it cost to have a computer lab in a
secondary school? yet students have access to public cyber cafes which
are used largely for non educational purposes
