“Trust in my Administration”.
This Christmas ,there will be Constant POWER Supply, Good Roads, Free Transportation and Enough Enjoyment.
….President Goodluck Jonathan Assures Nigerians.
President Goodluck Jonathan has restated his promise to transform the country, pleading with Nigerians to trust his administration.
In his Christmas goodwill message on Monday, Jonathan said Nigerians should not entertain any doubt about his political will and determination to improve their living conditions.
He said, “As we celebrate Christmas, the ultimate significance of which is the fulfilment of God’s promise of a Saviour for mankind, I urge you all to continue to trust in our unwavering commitment to fully achieve the objectives of our Agenda for National Transformation for the benefit of all Nigerians.
“No one should doubt that we have the political will and determination to deliver on our promise of positive changes in the living conditions of our people in the shortest possible time.”
The President said, despite the “distractions” posed by the security challenges in parts of the country, his administration remained committed to improving in priority areas such as roads, public infrastructure, power supply, agriculture, health, education and job creation.
He said, “It is my hope and expectation that more of the efforts, actions and measures we are already undertaking in these areas will successfully come to fruition next year and make the results of the diligent project planning and execution being done under this administration more apparent to all Nigerians.”
He urged Nigerians to learn from the significant lessons of Christmas.
Jonathan said, “Christmas and the lessons of Jesus Christ’s mission on earth have great significance for us as a people and there can be no doubt that we all, irrespective of our religious beliefs, can draw immense strength and inspiration from the Messiah’s enduring personification of selflessness, dedication to duty, and commitment to the well-being of others.”
His wife, Patience, called on Nigerians, particularly Christians, to continue to pray for peace and development of the country.
She urged Nigerians to demonstrate the spirit of charity and brotherliness by sharing with the less privileged during Christmas season.
HIS CHRISTMAS MESSAGE TO NIGERIANS::
Dear friends,
I want to seize this opportunity to
wish you and your loved ones a
merry Christmas and a happy
New Year in advance.
I feel the pains of Nigerians and
that is why this yuletide period I
have personally instructed that
our roads should be worked on
to enable you and your loved
ones travel safely for the holidays
knowing that this season brings
with it the highest volume of
traveler traffic of the year.
This administration also made
sure that most of our airports
received a facelift with the
terminals rehabilitated and the
runways upgraded.
Not done, we ensured that for the
first time in decades, the cross
country services (Lagos to Kano
with stops in cities along the
route) of the Nigerian Railway
Corporation (NRC) were revived
just prior to the holidays to
provide Nigerian masses with an
inexpensive alternative to road
and air transportation.
Nigerians traveled on these
coaches which took them from
Lagos to Kano beginning on
Friday the 21st of December,
2012 at a very affordable rate of
1,500 Naira, with stops at many
cities along the route.
This administration also took
steps to increase power
generation by remaining true to
the Timelines of the Roadmap to
Power Sector Reforms which has
seen history made on Friday the
21st of December 2012, when
Nigeria’s power generation hit an
all time high of just over 4,500
MW which I know is still not good
enough, but which nevertheless
is an improvement of what we
met on ground to the end that as
many Nigerians as possible can
celebrate the holidays with power
in our homes and communities.
I reaffirm to you that, God willing,
Nigeria will witness a better year
in the coming year.
Once again, on behalf of my
family and I and the government
of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,
I, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan,
wishes every Nigerian a very
Merry Christmas and a most
prosperous and Happy New Year.
HAPPY XMAS FELLOW NIGERIANS.

- Endy Edeson @Brian, what's up? how far with your XMAS celebration. have you eaten rice.... did you enjoy FREE transportation in your area?
- Enyinda Nathaniel Okey @ENDY...MAGNANIMOUS SANTA
He comes all the time
With bags so heavy for him
Now he arrives at my home
Bags so heavy we help him
Oh, baggy Santa in my house!
All my children in attendance
All my grand children here too
Of course Santa came with them
And we have more than full house!
I could take a peek into the bag
Santa thought he was so wise
He thought his bag was intact
But I took a stolen peek at it
And I saw.. and i saw... stuff!!
Large packets of granulated sugar
Hey, such quanta of milk in tow
There were drinks in there too
Oh, Santa, ever so thoughtful
Ice cream buckets to make us scream
What a thoughtful Santa here!
Wanna know where Santa is now?
Look no further, pall
Come to my house
You are invited
