A Chinese man has kept the body of this dead son in a freezer for six years now, Asian News reports Xueming Tian who hails from Huangling, Chongqing, a town in southern China, did not want to be apart from his son. He decided to put the body of his son in a freezer where he goes each day to chat with him together with other family
members. Xueming Tian bought generators to keep the freezer running in case of a blackout. He says that this has kept the body of his son intact as though he were alive.
“It makes me feel as if my son has never left me,” Tian said. “When my wife and I want to talk to him, we can just pull up some chairs, lift the lid and chat with him as if he had never been taken from us.”
According to Tian, his clever son had just started college when they found out his son’s incurable leukemia.
“We were devastated. We visited many doctors, but there was nothing else we could do. I just prayed we would not lose him,” Mr. Tian said.
“When he died, I just couldn’t face never seeing my child again, so we decided to put him in a freezer to preserve his body.”
Tian Xueming however plans to bury his son some time later. “One day the time will come when his mother and I can no longer look after him and we will then give him a proper burial, but now is not the time. When the time is right, we will give him the most dignified burial and have a celebration of his life, and invite everyone to pay their respects to him. But later.”
QUESTIONS:
- How would you describe the Chinese man?
- Is he insane or is it normal for him to keep his dead beloved son in a fridge ?
- What would be your advice for such a person who has lost his beloved one and feels devastated?
LET’S have your views.
Thanks.

- Sunday Ademola Ojelabi D loss of a loved one culd be very devastating. Hw we react to situations differs from one another, much as culture differs. As a Yoruba man, a man is not supposed to see d corpse of his son let alone partake in d burial, but some other cultures permits such. I just feel for him and wish d family all d best. It shows how close he was to d boy.
