Copyright Society of Nigeria, COSON, has reached an out of court settlement with Silverbird Communications Limited over non-payment of royalties to artistes whose works are being used on its television and radio stations and all their entertainment outlets. COSON had filed a multi-million naira suit in July against Silverbird, alleging that it failed to pay royalties to artistes. At a briefing in Lagos, Chairman of COSON, Chief Tony Okoroji, announced its formal withdrawal, stating that both parties
