Chief Justice
of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Aloma Muktar, will today, administer oath on 25 legal
practitioners recently conferred with the rank of Senior Advocates of Nigeria,
SAN, by the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee, LPPC.
Among those to be sworn in today are: Mr.
Femi Falana, Mr. Rotimi Jacobs, Prof. Yemi Akinseye-George and Prof. Clement
Dakas.
Deputy Director, Press and Information at the
Supreme Court, Mr. Festus Akande, in a statement, said the event will hold at
the ceremonial hall of the apex court.
Meanwhile, CJN will tomorrow, conduct a
special valedictory court session in honour of Justice Francis Tabai, who has
bowed out of the Supreme Court bench upon attaining the mandatory retirement
age for judicial officers in that cadre.
