RELIGION / EDUTION: Appeal Court Reverses High Court Ruling; Allows Hijab In Lagos Schools

On October 17, 2014, Lagos State High Court in Ikeja banned the use of 'Islamic' Hijab in Lagos State Primary and Secondary Schools as a measure to curtail criminal activities in the State, amongst other
reasons. In a different ruling today, the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal has reversed the judgment of a Lagos State High Court.

The appellate declared in a unanimous judgment, today. that the ban was discriminatory against Muslim pupils in the state. Lagos pupils and students are now allowed to wear hijab to schools following the Appeal Court judgment.

All these are nothing but distractions, just like Tinubu and Dino brouhaha, Nigerians are suffering and the economy is heading towards its waterloo, these are the problem that needs to be solved and not all this religious obsession, the schools already had good uniforms for every students across all religions, but if some people choose to be extremist by putting a tag of religion on everything then let them be. Let's move forward...
