Mike Ozekhome Kicks & Jumps As EFCC Freezes His Bank Account

Top Nigerian lawyer, Mike Ozekhome is being accused of defending corrupt Nigerians with huge monetary benefits. A Federal High Court in Lagos, yesterday, ordered the temporary forfeiture of the sum of

N75million in his Gtbank account.

The court, presided over by Justice Abdulaziz Anka, acted on a suit filed by EFCC. The anti-graft agency claims the sum of N75million deposited in the said account on Dec. 15, 2016, is suspected to be proceeds of crime.

However, the human rights activist, Chief Mike Ozekhome has reacted on the court ruling and denied the alleged crime instituted against him. He noted that the money which was freezed was part payment for professional services he rendered to Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State. He described insinuation by the anti-graft agency that the fund was proceed of money laundering, as “an invidious lie from the pit of hell”.

Which way Nigeria? Mike (Apostle of anti-corruption) defending fayose? For what? That the monies Obanikoro gave him was not from Dasuki or that the tapped discussion on how to rig him into power was a voice over?
