November 30, 1874 British Prime Minister Winston Churchill Was Born

Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill, simply known as Winston Churchill was born 30 November 1874, died 24 January 1965. He was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 and again
from 1951 to 1955. Churchill was also an officer in the British Army and author. He won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1953 for his overall, lifetime body of work. In 1963, he was the first of only eight people to be made an honorary citizen of the United States.

Winston Churchill was one of the great world leaders of the 20th century. His leadership helped Britain to stand strong against Hitler and the Germans, even when they were the last country left fighting.
Soon after becoming Prime Minister, Germany invaded France and Britain was alone in Europe fighting Hitler. Churchill inspired the country to keep fighting despite the bad circumstances.

He also helped to forge an alliance of Allied Powers with the Soviet Union and the United States. Even though he did not like Joseph Stalin and the communists of the Soviet Union, he knew the Allies needed their help to fight Germany.

With the Allies help, and Winston's leadership, the British were able to hold off Hitler. After a long and brutal war they were able to defeat Hitler and the Germans.

After the war, Churchill's party lost the election and he was no longer Prime Minister. He was still a major leader in the government, however. He was again elected Prime Minister in 1951. He served the country for many years and then retired. He died on January 24, 1965.

Churchill was concerned about the Soviet Union and the Red Army. He felt they were just as dangerous as Hitler now that the Germans were defeated. He was right as soon after World War II ended, the Cold War between the Western nations of NATO (such as Britain, France, USA) and communist Soviet Union began.
..
Happy Posthumous birthday to him.

goodafternoon ahile. if not for church, hitler would have ruled the world his own way

Johnson Ahile

that is true endy

Jesse Osayande Vucinic Ehiagwina

Endy, hahahaha. You too believe Hitler wanted to rule the world. "History is written by the victor" - Adolf Hitler

Jesse Osayande Vucinic Ehiagwina

After the WW ended, US General George Patton said "we have defeated the wrong enemy"

Endy Edeson

@Jesse: had it been he succeeded, at least his ideologies would have spread more

Jesse Osayande Vucinic Ehiagwina

And what were his ideologies?

Endy Edeson

Jesse: Hitler believes he was fighting for Germany. He was a realist who believes a nation's national interest is more important than ethical or moral considerations. His ideology was authoritarian and anti-democratic. Most US and British leaders were and are still idealists.

Jesse Osayande Vucinic Ehiagwina

Endy, that's where you get it wrong. He was fighting for Germany, yes and what's wrong in that? He fought to free Germany from a deep hole we in Nigeria found ourselves in. If a Hitler should rise in Nigeria believe me he would get the backing. Germany were in a deep depression, prostitution was high, there was no morals whatsoever in the country and a lot of pillaging from the rulers. Also, Germany wasn't in the hands of Germans which was unacceptable to a people with great pride. Hitler was very ethical and moral. Infact, he had more morals and ethics than those Western leaders then. Did you know German soldiers were forbidden to rape? They were also forbidden to kill soldiers who surrendered and anyone found guilty was dealt with. The West didn't have such rules. In fact, after Germany fell the killings that took place then was outstanding. A lot of Germans were murdered and their women/children raped. History calls Hitler's Germany a bad nation but research says otherwise. Hitler never wanted a war. Infact, multiple times he called for no war and he was nominated for a nobel prize in 1939 for his peace stance. A lot of people have swallowed the lies history says about Hitler and like Hitler said, "history is written by the victor"

Jesse Osayande Vucinic Ehiagwina

"You must understand that this war is not against Hitler or National Socialism, but against the strength of the German people, which is to be smashed once and for all, regardless of whether it is in the hands of Hitler or a Jesuit priest." -- Winston Churchill

Endy Edeson

Well said Jesse. I like this part of your analysis ""history is written by the victor". Meaning, If Hitler had won he would have tell History to favour him more

Jesse Osayande Vucinic Ehiagwina

Yes, if Hitler had won we would've seen the truer version of WW2. Hitler did all he could to avoid a war but the West pushed by Jewish banksters wanted one and got one. Germany had to fall cos it had become very strong in finance, science, development and their model could've spread around Europe and the world.
