Governor Ambode has ordered the closure of pig farms located within residential areas in Lagos. This directive is part of efforts to prevent health hazards associated with pigs.

@mercy: i think Nigerians should cut this "crap" of economic diversification. The demand of it has been there since oil was foundin Bayelsa State and will continue forever except the oil wells dry up. What the government should concentrate on are resources that yields more profits. @okey: does someone have pig farm close to your house? just asking though. @becky: what did you find funny?

Resources. We have them all over d country. Rather than develop them..everybody is after oil well and stuff. There is hardly a state in Nigeria that does not have mineral resources. The state and fed govt just do NOT care!

I checked you profile b/4 replying ur comment & I find out dat u are an agricultural student, so you should no better, pig farming entails a lot of caring & vigilant, hence the government directive, u can also comments without insulting the governor with a valid point. pls let mind our utterances.

Its such a pity that we have some people that have nuisance value on this platform, speaking from the other side of their brain, if any outbreak occur, government will be the music on these peoples lips, in a cosmopolitan area like Lagos that law is a preventive measure in right order, prevention is better than cure. Pls not everything these small children will comment on.
