TODAY in HISTORY: World Largest & Fastest Ship TITANIC sank into the Atlantic Ocean

April 15, 2016 marked the 104 years famous British ship TITANIC sank into the North Atlantic Ocean. Titanic is presumed to be the largest and fastest ship ever built in human history. The designers of the ship assumed it would be unsinkable due to it’s hull that have 16 compartment which are watertight. The Ship sank on its first journey on April 15, 1912 when it struck on an iceberg on it way to America from England across the Atlantic ocean , after stopping at France, Iceland. It had 2,200 passengers, more than 1,500 passengers died while 700 passengers survived when the ship sank. The wreck of TITANIC was later found on September 1, 1985 by a joint effort of America and France Mission. In 1997, a movie on TITANIC was produced staring Leonado DiCaprio and Kate Winslet as key actors.
