TODAY in HISTORY: Ex-America President Abraham Lincoln was Killed for Abolishing Slave Trade


Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of America. He was born on February 12, 1809, Kentucky, United States. Lincoln is best known for abolishing slave trade in America. The abolition of slave trade in America was one of the key reasons which led to America Civil War. 7 Southern States in America declared secession and wanted a Confederate State due to attempts by Northern Anti-salary Government to end slavery.
The Southern American States were against the abolition of Slavery in America because they own lot
of slaves for domestic and industrial use. When Abraham Lincoln became president in 1860, he fought tireless and won the anti-slavery war.
After the America Civil War, Abraham Lincoln was shot by a famous movie actor, John Wilkes Booth on Good Friday, April 14, 1865, but he died the following day. He was assassinated for ending slavery in America.
