Edeson Online News: CRIME NEWS: It is a Waste of Time for Arresting Raymond Dokpesi

Nigerians are beginning to lose hope or have even lost hope in the current Buhari-Led administration as he has done little or nothing since he came into power. The number one agenda of the federal government is a Futile Chase & torments of Innocent Opponents

Buhari has hit the ground, instead of running, he is busy digging pit holes to bury dead lizards. I, Endy Edeson is urging the government to suspend some of these white elephant arraignment of alleged money launderers

and put the interest of the citizens in the frontline.

It is only retrogressive issues that trends in the Nigerian political terrain. The continues arrest and detention of respected media mogul, Raymond Dokpesi and other suspected offenders is unconstitutional. The Federal Government is assuming Chief Dokpesi is guilty until proven innocent as against what is enshrined in our constitution.

After 10 days in EFCC custody, Dokpesi, was on Wednesday arraigned at Abuja Federal High Court on a 6 count charge which involves money laundering. He pleaded not guilty of the charges but was remanded in EFCC custody pending the hearing of bail application by 12:30pm today.
Dokpesi is facing trial for allegedly receiving N2.1bn from former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki which was meant for the procurement of arms to fight terrorism but diverted it for personal use.

It should be noted that Raymon Dokepsi entered into contract with the former government led by Goodluck Jonathan to run election campaign on his media platforms, he was paid by Dasuki to implement the contract, as a business man, he has no right to ask his client the source of his fund. Having said that, the Federal Government ought not to arrest him as he only did his job as a business man.

Besides, all arraignments by the federal government is not yielding any fruit and the arrest of Raymond Dokpesi’s is also a complete waste of time as he will finally regain his freedom.
