POLITICS: Federal Govt to Spend N8Trillion in 2016 Budget, Capital Expenditure Capitalized

Information available to our news desk disclosed that Nigeria 2016 budget is currently being prepared and will amount to N8 Trillion. It would be recalled that 2015 Budget by the former administration was N4.4 Trillion. Edeson Online News monitored the recently held PRESIDENTIAL RETREAT With Ministerial designates where the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo revealed the 2016 budget details in a paper entitled: “The Economy – Where We are today”.
Osibanjo stated that the budget process will be zero based, a method of budgeting by which all expenses must be justified for each new budget year. He also said Capital expenditure will take the lion share in the budget with a 40% increase.

We have too much recurrent. That's not much of an issue if we've been making them work. We've carried over much of them and that's why they keep coming up on every year. It has to be addressed.
