PASTOR OKOTIE: Is it a Sin for Chris Okotie / Other Pastors to Hold Beauty Contests in Church?

Edeson Online News is aware that church serves as a heavenly place and now as a business and entertainment joint. Household of God Church is one of the churches that serves as a spiritual home and entertainment joint. Our reporter who attended one of the church services at House of God Church said it’s fun worshipping there as young ladies and men cling to each other in a spiritual funfair.

The general overseer of House of God Church, Pastor Chris Okotie, whose marriage with his beautiful damsel ended in catastrophe is still firing his spiritual life, his marital failure did not stop him in his church venture.

Pastor Chris Okotie started a church beauty contest tagged “ESTHER BEAUTY PAGEANT” in December 2006 as part of his church entertainment and grace programmes.

Edeson Online News Reporter saw the reigning QUEEN ESTHER Michelle live in church. Our reporter said the Church Queen was spotted reading lessons during service. The next pageant holds in December 2015 at the Household of God Auditorium.

BIG QUESTION: Is it okay for church to hold beauty contest?

@Jesse: infact, On my way to Ikeja today, I saw a church banner that made me think deeply . Imagine the pastor saying “ Come and Worship with us and OZIGBO OZIGBO GOD Will answer your prayers” >> Marriage break through, financial boom, exam success etc. I did not see anything like spiritual benefits listed in the banner. This is completely not exactly what the BIBLE instructed them to do. Christianity should be heavenly race and not worldly race.

Endy, I've lost faith in churches. Most don't preach the word as it should be. A lot of things have been turned upside down. And the members? Those are lost causes
