Twitter is offering advertising incentives by handing out as much as $1 million in free advertisement credits this weekend to help promote small businesses.
Twitter have announced that in support of the Shop Small initiative and Small Business Saturday they are giving away up to $1 million in free advertising credits to new advertisers. They state that the first 10,000 eligible small business advertisers based in the U.S. will receive $100 in free Twitter advertising credits that can be used for 'Promoted Tweets' and 'Promoted Accounts.'
Twitter launched 'Twitter Ads for small businesses' back in February and claim that 'Promoted Accounts' can speed up the growth of a loyal follower base for small businesses and by using 'Promoted Tweets,' small businesses can reach a wider audience.
