musical acts, Wyclef Jean and Akon will feature in a new Nollywood movie entitled
"Black November". A close

chat that the movie is directed by renown film maker Jeta Amata and the movie is about the Niger Delta
struggles and features Nollywood stop actors and actresses like Fred Amata, Nse Ikpe-Etim, OC Ukeje, and
Robert Peters in the big-budget film. It also has Hollywood actors like Hakeem
Kae-Kazim, Mickey Rourke, Kim Basinger, Sarah Wayne Callies and Anne Heche.

NEWS: Diezani Alison-Madueke hospitalized!
A
few days after breaking the news that President Goodluck Jonathan’s wife,
Patience Jonathan, was hospitalized in Germany, SaharaReporters has learnt that
Diezani Alison-Madueke, Nigeria’s Minister for Petroleum Resources, is also
receiving treatment in a London hospital for a serious medical condition. One
of our sources disclosed that Mrs. Madueke’s condition did not require
immediate hospitalization, but described it as “potentially serious.”

commercial motorcycles otherwise known as Okada in Asaba, the state capital and
other major cities, with effect from this month. Uduaghan, who received the new
boss of Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, in Delta State, Commander Ada
Ajenge, who paid him a courtesy visit at Government House Asaba, said: “I
have constituted a committee headed by the Commissioner for Transport to liaise
with the various Okada unions to over-see the purchase of tricycles.

Inaugurates New Portal:
National Universities Commission, NUC, is to
inaugurate its first Online Programme Accreditation Portal. The programme,
slated to be inaugurated on September 7, 2012, at the University of Calabar,
Cross River State is user friendly. The portal is one of the benefits of
National Universities Commission Data Base, NUCDB, project, launched in
November 2008 to make the commission more effective in its regulatory
functions, for improved quality of graduates and programmes in the country.

to Buy Chinese Island::
Media
reports from Japan say the government has reached a deal to buy disputed
islands in the East China Sea from their private owner. The government will pay
2.05bn yen ($26m, £16.4m) to buy islands known as Senkaku in Japan and Diaoyu
in China. There was no confirmation from officials, but the reports were
carried by major Japanese media outlets, citing government sources.
Accident
Claims Lives in Morocco:
In
the week, at least 42 people died when a bus plunged into a ravine in southern
Morocco, officials say. More than 20 others are reported to have been injured,
some seriously. The bus, travelling between the cities of Marrakesh and Zagora,
left the road near the town of Zerkten in Haouz province and fell 150m (490ft),
local officials said. Most of the passengers are believed to be Moroccan. It is
not clear if any foreigners are among the casualties.
