Uruguay And Iran Shine At World Cup With 1-0 Win Against Egypt And Morocco Respectively

In the first full day of World Cup action, Egypt looked on its way to a 0-0 draw with Uruguay on Friday to open up its World Cup campaign, with Mohamed Salah spending the entire match on the bench.
Jose Maria Gimenez scored a glorious header in the 89th minute as Uruguay earned a 1-0 win and three valuable points in the group.
José María Giménez powered the winner for Uruguay while a goal from Aziz Bouhaddouz who heads in from a free kick gave Iran 1-0 against Morocco.
