His rival, Eyitayo Jegede is now the frontline candidate for the PDP. The court ordered that Mr. Ibrahim be replaced with Eyitayo Jegede, who belongs to the Ahmed Makarfi faction of the party.
It would be recalled the Federal High Court had earlier declared Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim the candidate but Mr. Jegede was not satisfied by the ruling of Justice Okon Abang.
Also, court of appeal has upheld the caretaker committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the leadership of Ahmed Makarfi, describing the faction led by Ali Modu Sheriff as illegal.
In a judgement today, the panel of judges led by Ibrahim Saulawa, set aside the ruling of Okon Abang, a judge of the federal high court Abuja, who declared Makarfi’s faction as “illegal.
Ondo State governorship election holds this Saturday November 26, 2016. The main contestants are Olusola Oke of the AD, Mr. Akeredolu of APC and the newly declared candidate of PDP, Eyitayo Jegede.
The question now is: Will Jimoh Ibrahim Run To Supreme Court 2 Days Before Election to Stop Appeal Court Ruling?
