POLITICAL UPDATES: Federal Government to Start Paying Ex-militants Today

Ex-Niger Delta militants will start receiving their stipends today which will result to a halt by protests by the aggrieved group. Brig-Gen. Paul Boroh (retd), the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and
Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programmehas disclosed this information to newsmen.

The adviser stated that President Muhammandu Buhari appreciated their patience and the challenges were being addressed.

Boroh added that the Federal Government planned to improve the amnesty programme for the benefit of the 30,000 ex-militants and other youths in the region.

“President Muhammandu Buhari, is already putting together a youth development and empowerment package that would directly impact the ex-agatators and other youths in the region,” he said.
