CURRENT AFFAIRS: Bayelsa Governor Serieke Dickson tells Ex-Militant to be Patient Over Amnesty Stipends

A hungry man they say is an angry man. The Buhari-led government is delaying in paying Niger Delta ex-militants their ‘amnesty’ salary (stipends).

For this reason, the ex-militants plan to stage a violent protest. In a timely move to stop the ex-agitators plan, Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State has appealed to ex-militants to be calm and exercise patience with the Federal Government over delay in the payment of their stipends.
He also called on the Presidential Amnesty Office to urgently pay in the spirit of equity and fair play.

Endy are you a Niger Delta Avenger?

Niger Delta needs development and not giving money to a chunk of ex-criminals in the expense of the millions of people in the region.

Endy Edeson

@eze: hahahahahahahaha. come on, how can I be a blogger and at the same time be an Avenger?

Eze Solomon Emeka

So you don't militants also have media wing? 😆😁

Endy Edeson

@eze: of course i know. but I don't work with them

Eze Solomon Emeka

But sincerely Endy, why are you always biased? it's not healthy for this kind of profession.

Endy Edeson

@eze: why do most guys on this platform think am biased. When it comes to national issues, no one is free from the "biased tag" because you can't please the people all the time. The person you please with your story today may feel displeased tomorrow if you post a story that is contrary to his or her view without minding the authenticity of the story. So am not always biased.

Eze Solomon Emeka

Why are you defending criminals in disguise of ex-militants? Like you're happy about the money being dished out for nothing? Don't you know it's the reason for endless militancy in Niger Delta?

Eze Solomon Emeka

So also you always defend the injustice of the federal government against the people, the country is under economic recession and you want some militants to be paid, I call them criminal which they are, and you're telling this and that.
From all indication, these guys fought for their pockets and not for the people of Niger Delta.

Olajide Young Johnson

Does paying this guy make sense at all? How paying them will touch/affect the ordinary man on the street of niger delta positively? Is this not how asari and tompolo enriched themselve then employing powerless/hungry boyz on the street to be working for them? Why dont we allow buhari to dealthwith this issue once and for all? Why cant we allow buhari to use his absolute power as a president to arrest all these governors in niger delta states starting from this useless dickson and place a military administrator in their states. All these rubbish talks will not be accepted by baba obasanjo, they should ask Odi People, Fayose In Ekiti, Alameigsia and many more.
