POLITICS: Buhari Admits to Sky News that Nigeria is " Fantastically Corrupt"

It is already in the news that British Prime Minister, David Cameron refereed to Nigeria as a "Fantastically Corrupt" country. In reaction to this expensive statement, Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has said that he won't demand apology from the British Prime Minister, instead he wants the British government to help refund money looted in Nigeria and hidden in British banks. It is also shocking that the president is dancing along with David Cameron to blacklist Nigeria as a corrupt country.

When asked by a Sky News Reporter if Nigeria is truly " Fantastically Corrupt" ?, Buhari replied YES, that Nigeria is a very corrupt country.

Nigerians are not happy with the president for branding the country in a bad image. They thought the president would demand an apology from David Cameron for making such a derogatory remarks.

BIG QUESTIONS

1. Is Buhari afraid to demand an apology from British Prime Minister because he feels he will be cut off from world events if he airs too much? after all, Britain is not Nigeria he can control anyone he likes.

2. Do you think David Cameron should tender an official apology to Nigeria ?

3. Is Buhari De-marketing Nigeria for also branding Nigeria corrupt abroad.

Demand an apology to what end? Would the apology obliterate the truth that Nigeria is indeed corrupt? The sooner we admit to having a corruption problem the sooner we start proffering solution to the problem. Enough of the hypocrisy for which we are so equally known; Buhari would rather echo the truth than "brand" it. And if you have a problem with that then deal with it...
