the urinary tract is called a vesicovaginal fistula also known as VVF. A woman with this disease can pass out urine uncontrollably even in
public. It's an embarrassing disease for women. Causes
The United States
Agency for International Development (USAID) has declared that Ebonyi is
the State with the highest numbers of women who are suffering from
Vagina Fistula. According to USAID, over 12,000 women are afflicted
with Vesico Viginal Fistula (VVF) in Nigeria, with Ebonyi State having
the highest of over 3,000 cases.
However, Vagina Fistula is treatable and preventable.
