5. BIAFRA: Ohaneze Ndigbo is asking federal government of Nigeria to free IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu on grounds that Kanu will surrender and stop his Biafra agitation. However, IPOB Youths have issued statement that Ohaneze Ndigbo should not interfere in Biafra struggle, calling Ohaneze Betrayers.  

6. CURRENT AFFAIRS: Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has dropped in latest Forbes List of Richest Men in the World. He is now 51st richest man in the world with net worth of $15.4bn as at January, 2016, Last year, Dangote was ranked 37th richest in the world with a net worth of $25 billion. 

7. CELEBRITY BIRTHDAY: Veteran Nigerian musician, Victor Uwaifor celebrated his 75th Birthday yesterday. Uwaifor is known for his hit song “Mami Water”. Also, Banky W’s mother is marked her birthday yesterday. Rapper Ice Prince is happy as his son turned 4 years yesterday and Celebrity stylist, Toyin Lawani also marked her birthday yesterday.

8. MARRIAGE BREAK-UP: A popular man of God, pastor Femi Olayinka has snatched the wife of another man in Osun State. The woman’s husband.  Olusola Onifade took the matter to court and asked the court to issue him a divorce certificate. 

9. #NoBankingDay: Lots of Nigerians refused to make bank transactions yesterday  because the day was observed as no banking day, to protest against banks' excessive charges. I hope you didn’t visit the bank yesterday, it’s for your own good. 

10. POOR MUSIC CAREER: Skelewu singer, Davido is always in the news. His cousin, Sina Rambo has announced that he has quit singing simply because he was unable to release hit song despite being in Davido’s record label. However, Shina Rambo has told his fans that he is now a Music Director.

14. CORRUPTION CHARGES: Former Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, is presently enjoying himself at  Kuje prions.  Federal High Court sent him to spend some days in prison for his involvement in the controversial immigration recruitment scam during Goodluck Jonathan tenure as president of Nigeria. 

15. FOREIGN ENTERTAINMENT : World renowned actor, Leonardo DiCaprio on Sunday  won his long-awaited first Oscar for  the epic movie “The Revenant” . Leonado DiCaprio became famous when he starred in the movie “Titanic”

16. EDUCATION: Students who are writing the ongoing JAMB EXAMS nationwide have cried that answers to some question were not made available, leaving them confused in the exam hall. 

17. POLITICAL INVESTIGATION: Lagos High Court has ruled that previous presidents of Nigeria since 1999 should give valid account of recovered looted fund. The ex-presidents are: late Yar’Adua, Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan. The Court ordered President Muhammadu Buhari to investigate the 3 past president thoroughly. 

18. ROYAL LIFE: The 17-year-old Obi Chukwuka Akaeze, youngest King in Nigeria will stay in Europe for years to conclude his education. While in Europe, his uncle will stand for him as King. Obi Akaeze is a King from Delta State. 

19. CRIME IN LAGOS:  3 Female students have been kidnapped. They were abducted from their school  . Babington Macaulay ‎Junior Seminary School in Ikorodu area of  Lagos State 

20.. HEALTH NEWS: Reports coming out say a 3 year-year-old boy,  Darasimi Ogunwumi, who drank acid is currently fighting for his life in hospital with no one to help him out. The mother  cried out that the government has abandoned her child 

21. CAMPUS CRIME: A young female undergraduate has lost her left eye after a robbery attack. Esther Oteri, a student of the Delta State Polytechnic was hot in the eye by armed robbers just few days to her matriculation ceremony.  She has been admitted at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, DELSUTH.
